Lyrics
Girl you're pretty as a painting on a bathroom stall Now come here baby I just want a closer look is all Now slow down and turn around once for me Let me get a chance to soak you into my magic memory Just a lick of your sugar baby Aw you're stickier than glue Strutting around so fine in your ostrich skin boots Now come over, would you sit right here? I wanna color in the stripes of your cosmic underwear A little wood to feed your fire Will keep you hot all through the night And when you show me your masterpiece you can have whatever you want from me Baby baby I forgot your name Here, let me start all over again
Notes
I wrote this song during the pandemic in 2020-2021 when I was living in Nashville. I just wanted to write a horny rocker, something a little sleazy and fun. I am all about using art to express complex concepts and influence culture, but I also contain multitudes, and the spirit of rock n’ roll is the transmutation of sexual energy into sound. That’s something I have to honor in my reverence of truly free and human expression, so that’s where this song came from.
We recorded the basic tracks in Aug 2025 in Boston and the vocals and additional guitars at the Middlesex Monastery in Connecticut 2025-2026.
Adric Giles is a friend, and his art can be found at mondofiasco.com. You can also hear him play drums in the band Rong.
